I've always felt the ECW really...Thanks, John.<br /><br />I've always felt the ECW really needs a very simple "campaign" framework to really work well. Each of the major regions would have a certain starting sentiment rating for both Parliament and King, which would in turn influence the size and types of troops that might be raised in that region. The central army would have some reserves it could allocate to these regions to re-balance/unbalance the equations, plus some random events, etc. Military success or failure would shift the regional ratings up and down at the end of each round (campaign season), with the cumulative effects ultimately determining whether King or Parliament prevails.
