American Revolutionary War Civilians and Casualties

Wrapping up my AWI painting for a while are these extra  figures.

First some British casualty figures

Considerable variety.

Not to be left out, some Patriot ones, too.

Both sets are byPerry.

"I ain't dead yet!"

Perry Camp scene

Soup's on!

Women and children.

A variety of ages and stations.

Watch out for Indians!

Colonial civilian men.

Once again, different classes.

With these done, I have painted 850 AWI figures in the past 12 months.

I still have some Brigade games civilians, canoes and canoeists, a few more Patriot infantry and artillery, British artillery, a few more Indians, and a French force to do for this project. However, I will likely take a break and go back to some Napoleonic figures, and then pick up again with the remaining AWI stuff in early 2027.

    1. Thanks; I am especially fond of that one, too!

  2. These are lovely little figures, although I always thought the British casualty throwing his rifle looks more like he is dancing than suffering. Great work on these Peter.

    1. Perhaps heading towards the Rapture or an All Hallows Eve revel a la The Outlander? :-)

  3. I like the one carrying his comrade on his back.
You are a really fast painter I must say. Any Swedish napoleonics at Your painting desk?

    1. No Napoleonic Swedes on the painting desk, just the 250 or so Minifigs that I painted about 30 years ago. I must confess to being tempted to add a unit of Norsk Ski troops from the Napoleonic Wars!

  4. Steve Barber Models have made some pretty cool Norwegian ski troops. Perry brothers are supplying Danish and Norwegian troops to back them up. Some really nice Danish militia in civilian shirts and cloggs.

    1. Hmm, thanks for the reminder about Steve Barber and the Norwegian Ski trooper models; I will have to order enough for a unit at some point!

  5. Very nice additions to your project, the casualty markers look great and loads of figures to make some really good vignettes. There are some really nice miniatures in this post.
