First, there's a post here on "...Hi Steve,

First, there's a post here on "Blunders" last month about the Dragoons at:
http://blundersonthedanube.blogspot.com/2011/03/french-dragoons.html

The horse furniture for the Dragoons is pretty simple: the saddle blankets are middle green with a broad band of white lace all around the edges; the regimental number in white is in the lower rear corners. The pistol covers (at the front) are also middle green with broad white lace borders, as is the portmanteau at the back of the saddle (behind the rider), this last again bearing the regimental number in white within the the square outlined by the lace. The sheepskins on the saddle, if visible, are white with "wolf's teeth" border in the facing color.

For officers, substitute silver for white, and the *half* sheepskin is black with the same facing colored borders, if it shows at all. Black sheepskins, etc. for trumpeters also. The Histofig site should also have great plates of the Dragoons, and much, much more.

Happy Painting! The box artwork is a bit vague to say the least! Cheers,
SteveBattlescalehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13530786317286215390noreply@blogger.com
