Merry Christmas, 2015!

Joy to the World , the Lord is come!
Let earth receive her King;
Let every heart prepare Him room,
And Heaven and nature sing,
And Heaven and nature sing,
And Heaven, and Heaven, and nature sing.

Joy to the World, the Savior reigns!
Let men their songs employ;
While fields and floods, rocks, hills and plains
Repeat the sounding joy,
Repeat the sounding joy,
Repeat, repeat, the sounding joy.

He rules the world with truth and grace,
And makes the nations prove
The glories of His righteousness,
And wonders of His love,
And wonders of His love,
And wonders, wonders, of His love.

Words/Lyrics - Isaac Watts, 1719
Music - George Frederick Handel

Grandson Owen, and grand dog Rory (playing the role of  "Santa Paws")

A very Merry Christmas to one and all who celebrate it. This year in New England, it is shorts and T-shirt weather - a record breaking 70+ degrees on Christmas Eve. We actually cooked the roast outside on the grill, as it was too warm in the house to use the oven much!

Peace, Joy, and Love,

Peter

  1. Merry Christmas to you, Peter!
    Weather in the PNW is much removed from your nice 70 degree Christmas.
    Temperatures here, overnight, in the teens with two feet of snow on the ground. Snowing this Christmas morning too.

  2. Thanks, Jon!
    Yes, the expected El Nino effects so far - warm and wet in the Northeast (very bad for ski areas), cold and snowy in the Pacific Northwest. Hope everyone makes their holiday journeys safely, but the snow certainly helps set the Hopliday mood!

  3. Warm in the UK as well - though nowhere near 70. Warm here at Christmas means 'not actually freezing'

    Merry Christmas everyone.

  7. Owen and Rory are a handsome pair! Unseasonably warm here in central Ontario, aka the snow belt.
    Hope Christmas was a joy to you. Best,
    Michael
