Caananite Chariots, Part 2

A second pair of chariot units issues forth from the painting table...

Cabs repainted on trhese

Minor touch up and gluing of the crew figures

and the horses and horse furniture (quite a few painting errors on the complex horse furniture on the originals).

The right hand chariot had a "running board" added to it so that the second crew figure would fit!

This second pair of chariots also had the front of their cabs repainted.

Some shading of the crew figures.

I opted against using Magic Wash" on any of these chariots and crews -it just didn't seem like it would suit the figures well.

Eight chariot rehabs down, two more to go!

  1. You are knocking these chariots out quickly, Peter! One of the crew looks like they might be Hittite.

    1. I think the top set mat\y be Libyans, and the bottom Hitties... quite possible. Overall, the chariots needed less work than the infantry I would say.

    2. My vote for Hittite is the red/yellow with blue trimmed cart in the first photo. The crew are wearing the long robes with long ponytails.

    3. I'll readily admit to knowing much less about the Hittites than the Egyptians or Assyrians! To make this force more polyglot, I have some Old Glory lead for Libyan and Philistine (Peleset) infantry on the way...

  5. Really like these Peter especially your colour palette. A good friend of mine has just ordered a wasteland style TTS mate to inspire him to get his Trojans and Egyptians based so I will Gluck him this post to further humiliate his snail like progress😅

    1. Thanks, Carlo! If all he needs to do is base them, then yes. time to prod him, LOL. The method I am using for them, as described before, is pretty darned cheap, easy, and effective.
