The third of four new Assyrian Heavy Chariots rumbles forth to battle!
Like the others before it, this is Hinchliffe 25mm model.
this time the color scheme is a medium blue tending towards Turquoise, and off white.
Dental floss reins painted off white adorn the model once again.
A rear view shows the four man crew figures better.
An interesting short video on the Assyrian military.

ReplyDeleteI really like the colour scheme on that. Very nice!
I like the blue/white motif too!
DeleteAssyria meets Steppenwolf, LOL!
DeleteKinda fits though:
I like smoke and lightning
Heavy metal thunder
Racin' with the wind
And the feelin' that I'm under...
(maybe 6 feet under in this case!)
Another fine model! The Hinchliffe cabs are quite roomy for four, are they not? The Foundry cabs have four guys tightly packed.
ReplyDeleteDespite appearances, the 4 crew figures just barely fit in the cab. The floor of the cab has holes in where pegs on the feet of the crew go. When I did my first set of 4 of these chariots, 40 (!) years ago, even with that I couldn't figure out how exactly how they were meant to go, so i just cut off the pegs and glued them in as best I could. The end results is only slightly different from these after all.
DeleteAnother great piece. I agree with Jon, the cab at least looks quite roomy. Does it classify as a crew cab or a king cab?
ReplyDeleteThat's bad...will you be here all week?
DeleteKing cab for sure! :-)
DeleteWhat a wonderful addition, great job!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Phil! Glad you like it!
DeleteGreat looking chariot, nice colour scheme and I like the rope (?)on the wheels.
ReplyDeleteBest Iain
Thanks, Iain; yes those are roped holding the massive outer wheels to the spoked inner wheels.
DeleteBest use of dental floss ever :-)
ReplyDeleteLOL, unused, I might hasten to say!
DeleteThese Hinchliffe models do look suitably heavy. I'd hate to be caught in the open with one of these bearing down on me.
ReplyDeleteI think that was exactly the point - at least as much "terror weapon" as punch!
