A fourth and final battery of Spanish foot artillery rumbles off the painting table.
This time it is a heavy, 12 pounder battery.
Brigade Games French 12 pounders were used for the ordnance.
The bulk of the crew are Brigade games as well.
I use 4 crew figures per stand for heavy artillery (versus three for others); the extra figures came from surplus officer and standard bearer figures from my Three Armies order. Flag once again is by Adolfo Ramos.
Nicely done, and Spanish 12-pounders are probably the best part of most Spanish Napoleonic armies.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Lawrence - you may be right about that!
DeleteWow those are terrific looking. The blue is perfect.
ReplyDeleteThanks, John. The blue is probably a bit to deep and intense as has been discussed before, but I can live with it!
DeleteExcellent, Peter! The blue and bronze is a striking combination.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jon. They won't get lost on the tabletop at least!
DeleteBeautiful work once again Peter. They will look stunning on the tabletop!
ReplyDeleteThank you kindly, Carlo!
DeleteAnother Regal unit very striking
ReplyDeleteThanks Garry; they are the "Real Cuerpo de Artilleria", so they should be Regal! :-)
DeleteThey look beautiful, gunners, guns and flag!
ReplyDeleteLovely colour combination, theyll really stand out with all those white clad infantry!
ReplyDeleteBest Iain
Thanks, Iain; it looks like only about half of the infantry will be in white by the time I finish with the Swiss, Irish, Militia, and Light Infantry!
DeleteLike 'em Peter. The flag is an excellent touch.
ReplyDeleteThanks, James. The artillery flag is sort of unique, and Adolfo makes one. Plus, I needed 2 extra figures for my 12 lbers anyway!
