Sea Peoples - Sardana Warband #3

Here's the last of the new Warbands. As has been said, Orange is the new Black!  :-)

Supposedly, the Ancients didn't recognize orange as a color; to them it was just a shade of red!

Once again these are Old Glory figures, with the hornist and leader being by Newline Designs.

Pumpkins on Parade... better be afraid!
(With apologies to Teddy Ruxpin)

This is the last of the new Sardana Warbands... almost ready for the Army Review!

  1. I think it’s almost time for that army review…. I’ve lost count how many of these sea people you have….I constantly self argue Vikings or sea peoples who better to have? Vikings fought everyone but something about the sea peoples (mystique?) is so appealing.

    1. It is approaching...

I think it mostly about who they will fight and the resultant games... With the Sea peoples opposition is Egyptians, Hittities, Canaanites/Israelites, Libyans. With the Vikings it's Saxons, Normans, Rus and other Dark ages armies.

  4. I agree with Rob Y, squash are under rated. Obviously the cattle used for the shields drank copper heavy water and ate pumpkins. Good looking unit, do hope the army review is soon.

    2. A Blackadder Goes Forth reference, seek it out if you can well worth it a 6 part BBC comedy series set in WW1 - which is much better than that sounds :-)

    3. I have heard good things about Blackadder, so I may well do that. Thanks, Gary!

  9. These don't look like the orange people who were around in my youth?!
Ferocious and beautiful work on shields, armour and tunic.
A parade? Oooh goody, goody, goody!

  10. The "orange people" of my youth were probably Hare Krishna..
Cue the Triumphal March from "Aida" for mood music!
