First of the Newline Designs Indians.
These men are employing the famous Indian 2 handed sword.
You can certainly see the difference in the Newline and old Glory sculpting styles.
I don't think one id better or worse than the other, just different.
Two handed choppers at the ready!
A few shots in dimmer light.
These fellows look like they mean business, great work.
ReplyDeleteThanks; I wouldn't want to see someone swinging something like that at me, that's for sure!
DeleteLook quite nasty Peter.I can see them wreaking havoc across the table every time. Hoes that for pressure?
ReplyDeleteThe Archers are all armed with these things as a secondary weapon!
DeleteThey look great, impressive weapon indeed!
ReplyDeleteMerci, Phil. They are rather lacking in the Armor department, though!
DeleteVery nice and not too different to Old Glory IMHO.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Steve; the style is noticeably but not jarringly different. They will mix with a bunch of old Minifigs as well.
DeleteYou are going to run out of colours to use soon ! yet another eye catching bunch :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Gary. I am getting to use a wide range of colors that don't always see that much use.
DeleteNice work again Peter. The Thing that is most noticeable to me is that the Old Glory figures appear to lend themselves better to the use of a wash, but the Newline sculpts are still very nice as you say.
ReplyDeleteYes, the "kilts" of the Old Glory figures in particular were very deeply sculpted with folds.
DeleteSorry for the late visit - but impressive Indian units you've recently completed.
ReplyDeleteThanks, and no worries, Dean! I am finding it hard to keep up with all of the blogs that I follow as well!
