A second unit of Spearmen join the expanding ranks of my Indian army.
Old Glory figures once again... with the "Tiger's Teeth" om the shields.
"Dusty Mauve" is the color theme for these chaps.
Really nice results from the Magic Wash once again.
That finishes the Old Glory Infantry additions (they will be back with more Cavalry, Elephants, and Chariots later in the year), but there will be more Infantry to come shortly from Newline Designs!
Really nice work on these Indians again Peter. It will be interesting to contrast them with the Newline sculpts when you start work on the latter.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Keith. there should be at least one Newline unbit up by the end of the month.
DeleteRunning out of original comments as so many of these excellent units appearing on such a regular basis ! :-)
ReplyDeleteLOL, thanks, Gary; there are plenty more on the way to strain the vocabulary! :-)
DeleteVery effective color, the magic wash technique really shows a veteran hand in all the Indian units. Shall be some colorful games in the summer.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Joe. Their main opponent would be Alexander and Successor style armies.
DeleteSplendid looking unit of spearmen, you're steaming through this army!
ReplyDeleteBest Iain
There simple yet distinctive costume certainly makes them swift to paint!
DeleteDusty Mauve. Wasn't he a bull rider in the PBR?
ReplyDeleteYou have really fired up the production line of late. Some of us can barely keep up!
I believe 'ol Dusty appeared in Blazing Saddles, Jon. :-)
DeleteLovely work Peter, and then tigers teeth look great again. It will be nice to see this army fully assembled when completed. Will there be an elephant or two in there as well?
ReplyDeleteThe existing troops already have 4 Elephants; the next wave of the project, which likely won't commence until Spring, will be some additional Cavalry, Chariots, and yes, some more Nellies, too!
DeleteThese look wonderful Peter and your collection is one to envy that’s most certain. Apologies for the lack of comments recently as for whatever reason blogger and google have been conspiring against me leaving comments on any of my favourite blogs…even replying to one’s on my own. I think I’ve figured it out now. At least I hope so.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Carlo, and welcome back! :-)
DeleteThe ways of Mr. Google and Mr. Blogger can be strange indeed; we have all experienced them at one time or another. It should be an interesting army to play with To the Strongest!
