This unit is the last of the full blown additions to my Mauryan Indian Army's infantry arm.
These are Newline Designs figures, and very nice they are indeed!
Their shield designs make a nice variation from the previous units.
I went with quite dark for flesh tone on this unit - Delta CC "Bambi Brown" to be precise.
These figures actually wear some armor, unlike the bulk of the Indian infantrymen.
They carry the ubiquitous Indian two handed sword for back up in close in fighting.
It is great watching this army come together Peter. More lovely Indian infantry.
ReplyDeleteThanks Lawrence. There are some leaders and reorganization/augmentation of my existing infantry remaining of the foot arm. Cavalry and Elephants will probably be a late Spring project.
DeleteI have never bought Newline but their figures akways look pretty impressive, and your are no different...very nice work!
ReplyDeletethe Newlines designs figures are very nice indeed. Like everywhere nowdays, shipping is a killer from overseas!
DeleteBeautiful looking figures Peter. You’ve done a wonderful job with this Indian army and it’s grown at a very rapid rate.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Carlo. It will be a pretty large force!
DeleteNicely done
ReplyDeleteThank you, Neil!
DeleteMore splendid looking Indians!
ReplyDeleteBest Iain
Good looking unit, nice to see some of them used armor!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Joe. Yes, as a whole, not big on armor, as compared to say, the Macedonians and Successor armies!
DeleteEye catching attire once again with quilted 'bodices', head dress and shields
ReplyDeleteThanks Gary; glad you like them!
DeleteThese are my favorites of your Indian army. Outstanding!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jon; I think their armor will get them a "Veteran" rating for TTS!
