Bavarian I.R. #14

This particular regiment was unnamed (no inhaber), and at times was the 13th regiment when one of the lower numbered regiments was disbanded.

The black facings piped in red (red collars and turnbacks) make for a dramatic show, almost making one think of artillerymen!

The drummer's lace is in the button color (yellow/brass).

I used Delta Ceramcoat "Blue Lagoon" for the jackets.

The flag is once again from the Piano Wargames site.

Speaking of that, the next Kickstarter for Lucas amazing miniatures opens Monday September 19th; The Danube Campaign, part 1.

  1. Blue lagoon, who would have thought. Just in time for the S. N. Game.

  2. Another dandy Bavarian regiment. Any idea what the new Kickstarter will feature?

    1. Thanks, Jon. This one looks to be 1809 Austrians and French. We've already seen previews of French Line and Legere, French Grenadiers in Bearskins, French Dragoons and Chasseurs, French Artillery, Austrian Grenadiers, Hussars, more Austrian Line and commanders for both sides. There is almost certainly more; Lucas is doing previews on the Piano Wargames FB group this week leading up to the kick off on Monday.

  4. Those black facing are definitely unusual and look great. Thanks for the notice on the next Piano Kickstarter. I'm sure there will be some figures there I will need to add to the unpainted pile.

    1. My original 4 Foundry Bavarians have facings of red, yellow, and pink with no piping, and dark green piped red. All of the new units are district from those, at least as far as piping or not.

  6. Very nice. I have a soft heart for Bavaria since I was stationed there twice.
