The first of four new units of Indian cavalry trots off the painting desk!
The bulk of the figures are by Old Glory; this unit's shields and the standard bearer are from Newline Designs.
Cavalry were not held in particularly high esteem in the Indian armies of this time.
In to the Strongest terms, these are Cavalry, Javelin, Raw.
At very least, they will be cheap!
Another beautiful unit Peter. This is going to be a very eye-catching army when completed.

DeleteMore nice-looking examples of OG ranges Peter! The Indians certainly favour, bold, bright colours, so these horsemen should feel right at home!

DeleteQuality not helped by the fact that I seem to remember they liked to give their horses beer before battle??? No idea where I read that - maybe the old WRG guide?
ReplyDeleteYes, I recall reading that years ago as well - I think it was in the WRG materials as well. Alcohol certainly doesn't improve the performance of most tasks. I don't think I'd want to charge on a drunken horse! :-)
