Spanish Napoleonic Artillery #2

BOOM!

This second Spanish battery, fielding an 8 lber and a howitzer, is from the firing set of Brigade Games figures.

Lots of animation and character in the Paul Hicks sculpts!

Very nice gun castings from Brigade games (French range) as well.

Excellent sculpting of the uniform details.

Only the finest for the Real Cuerpo de Artilleria!

    1. Thank you, Scott... even if not half as good as you'd do on the same figures! :-)

  4. These look wonderful Peter and you have answered a question for me in the colour of the timber and woodwork for the Spanish guns. For some reason I thought they were red. These guns of yours look wonderful.

    1. Thanks, Carlo. I had thought they were red as well, but not the case. Maybe that was an earlier era? It is noted that the 'cobalt Blue" could fade to a more grayish shade over time. and especially as the war went on, unpainted wood wasn't uncommon.

  5. Exceptional work! I do like the colour of the guns. It was unexpected.

    1. Thanks, John. Until I did research for this army, I didn't expect it either.

  6. Very nice, and I especially like the pose with the figures leaning forward. Much more dynamic than those just casually lounging around the gun that you often get with other manufacturers.
