  1. Wow, that's pretty significant expenditure on the hobby, Peter...particularly the $100 on flags...they are very nice of course, but too rich for my blood!

    1. That's 48 flags at 1.5 Euros each - not at all unreasonable; just about The whole project, aside from some eventual French troops (I do have the flags, though!) is on hand. One advantage of still working at 70.5 years is that I'm already drawing max social security benefits in addition to my salary (and not drawing on any retirement funds), so this is one time in my life when I feel no guilt about hobby purchases at all! Historicon was up chiefly due to not sharing a room this year - aside from with 1,00 plus figures, terrain, etc., that is!

  2. I'd say the Historicon lodging was the lion's share. Meals didn't seem to cost much.

    1. Attending Historicon is a major chunk of the wargaming budget each year, but so worth it! :-)

  3. It seems like only a month a ago that you were posting on Q2 expenditure. Still not too bad considering you are getting stuck afresh into the AWI.

    1. That's because I am always so late posting Q2 abnd noe on time with Q3! It's actually been quite a while since I had this much spent on actual lead!

    2. Ah good. I was worried life was passing by too quickly again.

    3. I think that happens to most of us regardless! :-)

  4. An interesting breakdown on your Q3, and your totals for starting a new project it isn't too bad to be honest.

    1. I probably wouldn't have bought almost the whole thing over the course of a few months, but the volatile tariff situation made that the wise way to go.

  5. New period, both sides is always going to be expensive and almost half the cost was the convention, so a big hit but it makes sense?

    1. I consider it all well spent; 10 years ago that much expense in a short time period might have been problematic.

  6. Pretty much the normal for 3rd quarter, and additional resources for the next era seem reasonable. 1000 figures at once. The car springs must have been groaning on the way home.

    1. They were groaning coming and going, Joe; just added 50 new figures purchased from Brigade games as a test, soon followed by a big order!

  7. With about 40% of spend on travel, not so bad. I agree with others that ramping up a new period can get expensive in the initial launch.

    1. Yes, indeed it can. I could have used Old Glory for about half the cost in lead. They may still see some use for this period in the future!
