This unit of Continentals has white facings with buff pants and vests.
I have designated it as being a Massachusetts unit, but it could be from any of the New England states, which all had white facings.
Massachusetts had a large quota of 15 regiments of Continentals.
At the time of the Revolution, only Virginia had a larger population, but almost half of those were slaves.
Reversed colors are once again used for the drummer.
The Massachusetts colony was certainly the hotbed of the Revolution, but all the other colonuies defied the authority of "Parliament" as well.

Another lovely unit Peter. The project really is coming together nicely and at great pace.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Lawrence. I have been turning out units pretty quickly; it helps that they are small, figure wise!
DeleteThese look superb sir. Very much looking forward to AWI action.
ReplyDeleteNot inexpensive, but these figures from Brigade Games, sculpted by Paul HIcks, are very nice indeed!
DeleteLovely looking Continentals, they look especially neat and proper with their white facings!
ReplyDeleteBest Iain
Thank you, Iain!
DeleteGreat figures in very natural poses and stances
ReplyDeleteThanks, Gary. That's one of the hallmarks of his sculpting style.
DeleteAnother cracking unit and those Brigade figures are really nice, your project i tanking along at a great pace.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Donnie. Productivity has been meeting targets so far!
DeleteNice to see the North in the mix. Nice work, you are cranking them out at a good pace. Snappy Saratoga someday?
ReplyDeleteThanks Joe! Yes, Mark and I have actually discussed an AWI campaign in a Day for 2027, likely based on the Saratoga campaign and related events in the Mid-Atlantic.
DeleteExcellent "Additional Regiment, Peter (see what I did there?!) I still haven't managed to get myself back to painting the rest of my AWI rebels......
ReplyDeleteThanks, Keith; there will be at least one of the "additional regiments" coming in the future! Seth Warner was born in Roxbury, CT, one town away from mine. My good freind, Bob, lives in Roxbury, and is planning an address at the Roxbury Public Library in the Fall of 2026, "Seth Warner in Perspective", and I may see if that might be an entry to doing a game based upon the Battle of Bennington at the Library around the same time.
DeleteSuperb. The project is advancing at a pace.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Richard; I'm painting them faster than I can post them at the moment!
DeleteGreat looking Continental regulars, Peter! I may have to get these someday.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Dean; as noted previously, the 250th anniversary of the Revolution was the tipping point for deciding to go ahead with the project.
