In FK&P, Scots cavalry count as "poorly mounted".
A few simple rules modifications might be needed for some of the more effective Lancers of the Thirty Year War.
Scots Border Lancers were often seen as little more than Highwaymen... at least by the English!
Peter, you are truly cranking through the figures. Did you stock up on Newline while they are on sale?
ReplyDeleteHistorically, Q1 tends to have the highest production, and that seems likely to be true this year as well. No Newline this year; No real plans to expand or add any new Ancients armies this year, although I do still have some lead for additional Thracians and Macedonians if the need arises. I did get some additional WotR lead, but who knows whether that will get painted in the next 6 months or so. Aside form the ECW Scots, production this year is likely to be largely Napoleonic, thanks to Lucas and his gorgeous figures!

ReplyDeleteAbout half of the Old Glory lancers were wearing morions, so I consolidated all of them in to one unit!

ReplyDeleteI am glad OG give some of their Scots a Morion - I have always doubted the idea that every single Scots soldier involved in the ECW would wear a soft cloth cap, when so many of them were veterans of the Thirty Years War and would have known the benefit of a "tin bin"!
OK, OK, they *swooped* off the painting table. Anderson is a good Scots name, you know (just not in may case, LOL!)
