This is the last of three units of new Household troops for the Wars of the Roses. All my Household troops have a single color for their clothing, and in this case, that's green!
The banner is that of Sir Richard Neville, Earl of Warwick, aka the Kingmaker!
Figures, as usual, are by Old Glory (originally the "Revenge" Medieval line, once sold by the Emperor's Headquarters, if I re all correctly).
Properly, Neville's men should have a white and red livery.
Flag once again is by Pete's Flags. At least the green matches the Eagle on his arms!
Some "Darth Vader" style helms once again!

Very nice Peter. That's quite an intricate Coat of Arms, but again it looks very nice when carried into battle by your latest unit.
ReplyDeleteVery busy, so it doesn't perform the original function of making it easy to identify the wearer when encased in armor!
DeleteA 'busy' flag but certainly sets the unit apart
ReplyDeleteDefinitely benefits from being 28mm scale! :-)
DeleteVery cool add to your collection for the WOTR.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Joe. A number of additional units to come in the next few months!
DeleteThese guys look like they mean business - very nice!
ReplyDeleteThanks; evidently Warwick was known for his wealth and influence, but les so his courage! Of course, that may be post facto politics!
DeleteBrilliant Peter. Warwick was my first command that I ever painted for the War of the Roses, albeit in 15mm Minifigs when I was still at University. Your collection has got me looking at all my old Foundry castings at present so I’m doing my best not to be distracted.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the kind words, Carlo. TTS! covers the Wars of the Roses as well...
DeleteAnother great looking bunch of war of the Roses heavies, growing up in Barnet( where he died) you couldn't move for road names, Warwick, Plantagenet, Woodville , kingmaker house etc, didn't really notice it at the time, it was just normal. Pete wasn't doing War of the Roses when I did my armies, as always it's a lovely banner!
ReplyDeleteBest Iain
Thanks, Ian. Growing up in Barnett, eh? Yes, I can imagine the countryside would be chock a block with WotR references!
DeleteAnother excellent addition to your WotR collection Peter!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Keith!
