Next unit to join the White Menace is I>.. # 46, whose Inhaber was FML Marquis Johann Gabriel; Chasteler.
The regiment was originally recruited in the Tyrol, with whom Chasteler had long been associated. With the loss of the Tyrol to Bavria follwoing the Treaty of Pressburg in 1805, it recruitment shifted to Galicia. With the further loss of territory following the Treaty of Schonbrunn in 1809, it was disbanded.
The regiment had cornflower blue facings and brass buttons.
It formed part of the IV Corps in 1809, fighting at Teugen, Abensburg, Eggmuhl, Aspern-Essling, and Wagram.
