Here we have a pair of guns (a 6lber canon and a Howitzer), with the crew wearing "sdaratoga" uniforms.
Guns and crew are by Perry.
After taking these shots I realized that I left off the yellow buttonhole lace on the lapels and cuffs; that has since been corrected!
The British were due for some additions after all the Indians and Colonials lately!

Nice work, Peter! Perry sculpts are excellent.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Jon. Yes, they are fine sculpts!
DeleteGreat looking artillery Peter - I have always like the Saratoga headgear - but I really don't need them AS WELL AS the regular AWI British, so I?!
ReplyDeleteWell of course you do! :-)
DeleteI like the Saratoga uniforms a lot as well.
I have 2 more guns coming in a different uniform for the British.
Superb looking artillery.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Richard!
DeleteGreat additions Peter. How many artillery pieces are you planning in total for each side?
ReplyDeleteThanks, Lawrence!
DeleteThe original plan was four 4 per side; the last order I increased that to an additional gun each, plus one each for the "Hessians" and the French.
Very nice work indeed and the Saratoga uniform is a cracker, the Perry figures are really very good.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Donnie! I'm enjoying the Perry figures (if not their famous flash!).
DeleteI agree with Donnie! Great figures rendered splendidly. As for flash, it can be annoying cutting off EVERY bit of vent residue. I often find more after priming.
DeleteThanks for the kind words, Jon! They are excellent sculpts! Perry flash is very annoying and hard to remove in its entirety... I too often find more after priming. I am also not a fan of the fibrous material they pack their figures with, which catches on all that flash and can be tough to remove as well!
DeleteI agree about the annoying box filler.
DeleteAlmost anything would be better! Piano ships its figures with shredded paper for packing. Reasonably environmentally friendly and not hard to be rid of! :-)
DeleteVery nice complement of gunners and cannon
ReplyDeleteWhile infantry makes up the bulk of all forces in the AWI, I needed to start on the Artillery some, too!
