The Casualties of War: ECW, Part3

A final group of 15 more casualty figures,. to be used as hit ("Disorder") markers when playing "For King and Parliament"

Lots of variety in the Old Glory figures... as usual!

Two weeks from now, I will already be in Lancaster, at the convention hotel!

To do in the ensuing 2 weeks are:

A Baden Foot battery and Horse Battery section
A Baden Limber w/ team
Baden officers
Bavarian officers
and a couple of carts.

Oh, and finishing my Alpine buildings. All are in the advanced stages, so they should be done on time and ready for the four games I am running this year.  Add a playtest of the Berg Isel revised scenario combined with a playtest of Jared and Dillon's 10mm Francio Prussian War scenario 10 days hence, and there"s still plenty on the schedule between now and then!

  1. Casualties look great and you have big commitments for Historicon. 10mm FPW? I look forward to that as well as reports from your other games.

    1. Thanks, Jon. I probably have LESS to do than usual this Historicon, which was partially intentional for a new venue. All the remaining items, none of which are critical are between 60 and 90% completed already.

Jared and his student are running the FPW game, with Jared painting 10mm troops furiously in preparation for the event.

    1. Thanks for the kind words, as always, Phil!

  3. I agree with Phil, the colours used make these figures pop. With my level of generalship I should only ever bother making and painting casualties. It'd certainly cut down on the workload!

    1. LOL! Thanks; I probably have well more than anyone will ever need. I do plan on at least a bit more expansion of my ECW forces, however.

  5. Running four games at a convention?!? How many days is it?

I usually run just one or two games at our local con, which just expanded to Thursday evening through Sunday morning.

    1. Historicon runs Thursday AM through Sunday, although usually very little gaming takes place on Sunday aside from Naval actions (fast to set up and take down).

I will be running the same game twice, Thursday evening and Friday AM, so that helps, and then running a different game Friday night and another Saturday night. About par for the course for me. :-)

    1. Thanks, Oli. They took forever to paint... much longer than I expected, because no two are alike in costume and/or colors.

  9. Great work Peter. That's quite a collection of casualties you have now amassed.

    1. Evidently fighting during the ECW was very hazardous to your health!
