A second pair of Peleset Chariots trundles forward!
Newline Designs figures once again.
Once again, a better fit for the crew figures than many other manufacturers!
The design of the chariots seems both simple and heavier than their Egyptian counterparts.
Great work. The Peleset came down like a wolf on the fold...

Delete(with apologies to Lord Byron).
Thanks!
Splendid additions!!!
ReplyDeleteNerci, Phil!
DeleteHow did you do your basing? It looks simple yet very effective for desert type terrain.
ReplyDeleteIt is pretty simple. The Litko MDF bases are painted with Delta Ceramcoat "Maple Sugar Tan"). Then a mixture of colored sand (purchased at Micahaels a number of years ago, still on the same bag after at least 6 years, and Woodland Scenics fine brown Ballast (likewise still using the same bag), is created. The base is heavily brushed with a mixture of white glue and Woodland Scenics flocking cement (to thin it down, plain water could be used as well) and then covered in the sand/ballast mixture. Different colored tufts are glued on using white (PVA) once the basing mixture has dried. Easy-peasy!
DeletePeter, do you ever have a problem with a favorite Ceramcoat color going out of production? Seems to happen to me on a near regular basis.
DeleteIn many cases, they just rename old colors! They have an online poll for new color names, even! Happened recently with their dark blues; IIRC, either Inkblot or "Midnight Blue" is the old Prussian Blue.
DeleteExcellent again really love the animation
ReplyDeleteThank you Garry. It is getting scary to think how many chariots I have now!
DeletePeter, look , a basing question!
ReplyDeleteYes, indeed. I am not a big one for elaborate basing, but I like the effect of this style.
DeleteAnother fine pair of chariots, Peter. These do look heavier than Egyptian chariots and seemingly, more crudely, built.
ReplyDeleteIf the current theories that the Sea Peoples originated from Crete and other related areas are correct, they probably lacked the long experience with chariotry that the Egyptians, Hittites, and others had.
DeleteIt's at least plausible! :-)
Another lovely pair of chariots Peter:)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Steve!
DeleteNice work again Peter. This colour combination works very well.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Lawrence. I decided to go with a combination of muted primary colors for all 6 of my Peleset Chariots (2 more to come).
DeleteAnother lovely pair of chariots !
ReplyDeleteBest Iain
Thanks so much for the kind words, Iain!
DeleteA fine, fine job again Peter. Simple chariots for sure; I bet they lack independent suspension and satellite navigation, not to mention a complete absence of USB ports!
ReplyDeleteRegards, James
Thanks, James,
DeleteAh, but they would have had real leather seating.... had they actually had seats, that is!
