Wars of the Roses: Retinue Archers of Sir Richard Neville

Yet another unit for the Wars of the Roses musters off  the painting table!

This unit of Retinue Archers belongs to Sir Edward Neville of Birling, 1st Lord Abergavenny.

It is dressed in the  Vert and Argent livery of Sir Edward.

Sir Richard favored the Yorkist cause.

He and his men participated in the battles of  Northampton, Mortimer's Cross, Towton,

Barnet, and  Tewkesbury.

    1. Thank you, Keith. Three more units in this set, then 2 more units plus commanders to do in the next 6 weeks. Should make the target date baring the unforeseen!

  5. They are pouring off the production line now Peter. I am in the middle of prepping some Hundred Years War English longbowmen in 15mm at the moment, and thoroughly enjoying the change of pace that Medieval figures bring.

  6. Its nice to see the Neville family getting coverage. The Neville's family are centred all over where I was born and live and unlike those dastardly Percy's they attempted to stay loyal,... most of the time and paid for their loyalty.Well done.
