In preparation for my Historicon games, here's the first of several new additions to my Sea Peoples army.
These are Foundry figures.
I got them in late 2024, using their annual Christmas discounts.
Between tariffs and a big shift in the exchange rate since then, that proved to be a judicious move!
They are mostly treated as Javelin armed Warbands in To the Strongest!
Nice looking unit, good job on them.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Donnie!
DeleteFoundry Sea People’s figures are quite nice. Do tariffs affect direct sales to individuals?
ReplyDeleteI agree, Jon. I don't know, but I imagine we are about to find out... or not!

ReplyDeleteSorry about that, let's try again! Some nice additions Peter and their purchase seems to have been well timed, although Jon asks a pertinent question.....?
ReplyDeleteThanks, Keith. The answer to that question seems different every day!
DeleteVery nice and I do love their headgear:).
ReplyDeleteThanks, Steve!
DeleteThe enigmatic Sea Peoples always look good
ReplyDeleteEnigmatic is spot on! These are Sheklesh.
DeleteGreat work Peter, and I too have been wondering what the effect will be upon individual US gamers and the overseas companies who sell to them. Are the tariffs applied to every import as a form of duty, or is there a threshold below which an individual ordering from overseas is exempt? Interesting times.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Lawrence. I suspect the tariff is levied on the seller, who passes the cost along to whatever degree, to the buyer. That way the consumer doesn't see it as a line item and the President can *claim* it's not a tax that consumers pay, although of course, in effect, it is.
DeleteGreat work on those miniatures.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Richard; once I finish with Sea Peoples and Libyans, it's on to some Assyrians! :-)
