Peleset Chariots #3

Here's the last pair of Peleset chariots.

Newline Design figures once again, part of my post Holiday sale purchase back in January.

Once again, the easy fit of the crew into the cab is a nice feature of these models... not the case with many other manufacturers!

The drivers are doing the "Ben Hur" with the dental floss reins!

    1. I'm very pleased with them, and I also don't know of any other manufacturer that does them in 25/28 mm, so I'd say they belong in your January 2022 order, Jon! :-)

  2. Superb, Peter! You have more chariots than the king of Assyria.

    1. LOL, thanks, John. I have a few more 2 horse Assyrian chariots and a few more Indian chariots to do eventually, but that should be about it for chariotry, I think!

  3. Lots of bright colours, very nicely done, these will certainly standout on the tabletop.

    1. Thank you Peter. I decided to do the group of 6 Peleset chariots all in primary colors, so the cabs are in combinations of somewhat muted red, blue, and/or yellow.

  4. Another set of impressive chariots, Peter. I commend you for doing the reins so nicely - with dental floss, no less!

    1. Thanks, dean. My older (30 years!) I used a kind of paper tape (no adhesive) that came with some 54 mm plastic models to use as crossbelts but I haven't been able to find anything like it since then, hence the Dental Tape!.

    1. Thank you! I confess to really liking this basing as well. Best thing is it is quick, easy, and relatively cheap! :-)

  8. Aww, that's a shame. The last of them, really? They are such great looking chariots. I can see why you purchased them and have had fun painting them. May I request a review (or mini race meeting!) please?

    1. Thank you for the very kind words, James. A review of the entire Sea Peoples collection is planned once I finish the three new Sardanna warbands presently on the painting table!

    1. Thanks, Gary. I think these were among the easiest chariots to assemble and paint.

    1. Thanks, Mark. Finishing up 2 Sardana warbands and a Leader. Once they've had their time in the sun, a Sea Peoples Grand Review will follow!

  11. Those chariots are really nice Peter! I love the colours you chose for them and the great brushwork. I have not seen dental floss reigns before, what a great idea (and better for the horses teeth than a bit!) :-D
    Best wishes,
    Jason

    1. Thank you for the kind words, Jason!
As previously related, I used a form of paper tape for the reigns of my first chariots, Hinchliffe Assyrian 4 Horse chariots. I didn't cheat with them, either, so that's 8 reins per Chariot. I haven't been able to find anything like that again, hence the dental tape/floss! Here I am cheating with one per horse for effect!
