Some more "Wars of the Roses" Knights for potential use in the Historicon Crecy game.
The "Vert and Or" banding on the lances makes them look vaguely Reptilian!
During the WotR itself, heavily armored men like this usually fought dismounted instead.
They make an impressive show regardless!
I am vert with envy.
ReplyDeleteHah! Good one, Jon. Thanks!
DeleteHave you ever done a count of how many knight figurines you have in your collection Peter. It surely must be in the hundreds by now.
ReplyDeleteIf I included Gendarmes and Teutonic knights, yes. Otherwise,. probably not. My figure counts are included in obsessive detail on the "pages" of this blog. :-)
DeleteI usually update them when I do the quarterly stats.
More nice additions and should come in handy with your Historicon plans?!
ReplyDeleteYes, they should appear at Crecy!
DeleteLovely addition, the colour scheme i very striking, nice figures.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Donnie!
DeleteGreat eye-catching knight Peter.
ReplyDeletePerhaps "The Green Knight(s)" of King Arthur fame?
DeleteThey will definitely stand out on table
ReplyDeleteThanks, Gary; yep, hard to miss!
DeleteThis is why you paint lances in spiral, not layered colors. Reptilian, really!
ReplyDeleteHah! I use bands; spirals are just too hard to do well!
